The Bredella Site and its industrial heritage
The site of the former Buss AG reveals a remarkable diversity of structures and building types with different scale steps. Large industrial halls stand alongside smaller commercial buildings, and a variety of construction methods and materials attest to the area's long history of industrial and craft activities. The Bredella site evolved over time and according to requirements into this heterogeneous assemblage of spaces and architectural structures.

Urban planning and structure
The spatial organization of the site, with three building volumes grouped around a central courtyard, as envisioned in the master plan or in the neighborhood plan, is coherent and comprehensible and will be preserved in the site’s development.
An ensemble of three buildings is to be created: the elongated structure of House 5 along Salinenstrasse, the stepped structure of House 8 along Bahnhofstrasse, and the angular structure consisting of House 7 along Talbachpromenade and House 6 along Quartiergasse between construction fields A1 and A2.

The addresses of these houses are located peripherally along these streets. Generous entrance halls link the apartments through stairwells, also connecting them to the slightly elevated courtyard. This courtyard, in turn, is accessible via passageways in all directions, ensuring a varied connection of the ensemble to the neighborhood.
