The timber garden pavilion is situated vis-à-vis with the house for two musicians in the small Alsatian French village of Wentzwiller. The pavilion is constructed entirely from wood which ties it to its context but lets it to cease to be visible in the lush green area at the edge of the site with its black stained facade. The primary function of the pavilion is to allow for an additional independent and contempletative space for reheasing music individually or with a quartett. Its small intimate space however is able to transform into a public performance stage through opening its large sliding facade element and its over-sized windows. Once open, it faces the garden and the main house and encourages interactive cross-views. This small structure nontheless is also able to host other multi-puposes uses, such as a painting atelier, a guest room and an elevated terrace on its rooftop.
